Why allocation exists
Publishers print a set once for its launch, and distributors share it out among the stores and suppliers that ordered. When a set is in demand, everyone receives a percentage of their order. That percentage is the allocation, and it is only known shortly before release.
Allocation is passed through at the same rate
With us, you receive the same percentage we receive. If we are allocated 20% of our order, you receive 20% of yours; if we are allocated 100%, you take 100% of yours. A pre-order is a commitment, not an option, so it can be planned around on both sides.
The queue and deposits
Orders queue by the time they are placed. A deposit is collected only where our distributors require one, and each product page says whether it applies and how much. Where deposits apply, deposit-paid orders take priority in the queue.
Pending and confirmed
Every pre-order product shows its allocation status. Pending means our distributors have not confirmed the numbers yet and stock is not guaranteed. Confirmed means they have, and we tell each buyer their allocation as soon as we know it.
Short allocation, pricing and payment
- If allocation comes in short, unfilled units are refunded in full within 7 business days of confirmation.
- Prices are indicative until allocation is confirmed; the final price is fixed on the confirmation invoice. If it is higher than when you ordered, you can cancel within 72 business hours for a full refund of your deposit.
- The balance is due within 48 business hours of the confirmation invoice, or before shipping, whichever comes first.
- Orders ship within 72 business hours of the product reaching our warehouse. If the publisher moves the release date, your order stays valid.
